The 2023 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge (RMAC), held in the stunning landscape of the Rocky Mountains and hosted by Utah Airguns, proved to be an unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators. This prestigious event showcased the skill, precision, and camaraderie of airgun enthusiasts from around the world. From thrilling competitions to meaningful collaborations, RMAC 2023 had it all. RMAC Events
Precision Marksman:
One of the highlights of RMAC 2023 was the range of events that catered to various shooting disciplines, consisting of precision marksman, 100m benchrest, big bore, and speed. In the precision marksman event, shooters demonstrated their ability to adapt to new courses in a set time limit. With a range of distances and targets, the Precision Target Challenge pushed participants to their limits, demanding focus and accuracy in every shot. The atmosphere was electric as competitors battled it out for the top honors.
100m Benchrest:
In the 100m benchrest event, competitors were given half an hour to shoot 25 targets set 100m away. With as many sight in shots as they want, shooters had to constantly adapt to changing wind speeds and angles to hit as close to the center on each target as possible, earning themselves points.
Big Bore:
Another exciting event at RMAC 2023 was big bore. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, shooters took on challenging targets scattered throughout the natural terrain high up in the mountains. With targets ranging from 150 to 350 meters, shooters had to take on a new way of shooting to do well in this event.
Speed:
RMAC 2023 also featured an exhilarating Speed Shooting event that left spectators on the edge of their seats. This fast-paced competition tested the shooters’ reflexes, agility, and accuracy. The targets were strategically placed at varying distances, and participants had to swiftly engage each target in rapid succession, faster than a competitor sitting next to them. The intense rhythm of the event created an adrenaline-fueled atmosphere, as shooters showcased their ability to quickly acquire targets and deliver precise shots. The Speed Shooting event was a true spectacle, showcasing the speed and precision that airgun shooters are capable of achieving. It provided an exciting twist to the overall RMAC experience and captivated the audience with its thrilling displays of skill.
